Kevin T. Fisher, D.O.

Dr Fisher joined Surgical Associates in February of 2002.  He is active in all aspects of general surgery.

A native of Kiowa, Kansas, Dr Fisher received his undergraduate degree in Medical Technology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.  He earned his medical degree in 1993 from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he received the Provost Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.  He completed his residency in general surgery at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at Tulsa Regional Medical Center in 1998 and was in private practice in Woodward, Oklahoma prior to joining Surgical Associates.

Among Dr Fisher’s special interests are Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery and their application in treating diseases of the liver, pancreas and the digestive tract, as well as the surgical treatment of cancer.

Dr Fisher is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and serves as a clinical assistant professor of surgery for the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and a Fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology.

Dr Fisher’s memberships include the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Surgeons, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the Tulsa Surgical Society, the Oklahoma Osteopathic Association, and the American Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
